セカンド・セメスター／バットマン／講師達 2nd Semester/ Batman/ The lecturers

みなさん！ゴメンね。

Everyone! I'm so sorry.

もう久しぶりですね。

It's been a while, hasn't it.

さて。今、ザ・ワン・アカデミーでセカンド・セメスターで勉強していますよ。

Well then. Now I'm studying for Second Semester at The One Academy.

セカンド・セメスターの講師のみんなは親切で、カッコイくて、やさしいです。

The lecturers in Second Semester are all kind, awesome and gentle.

まあ。みんなじゃないかも。

Well. Maybe not everyone.

僕の好きな講師は美術２のと、フィギュアの勉強のと、美術とデザインの歴史のです。

My favorite lecturers are of Drawing 2, Figure Studies and History of Art and Design.

美術２の講師はカッコイイ！！彼女もバットマンが好きで、何度も「ダークナイト」という映画を見た事ありますよ。僕も。

The lecture of Drawing 2 is so COOL!! She also likes Batman and she has watched "The Dark Knight" several time already. Me too.

美術とデザインの歴史の講師もサンダーキャッツが好きです。僕も。

The lecturer for History of Art & Design also likes Thundercats. Me too.

とにかく、よ〜しゃ！やっとプレイステーション３で「バットマン　アーカム・アサイラム」というゲームを遊べるんですね。

Anyway, Alright! Finally I get to play "Batman Arkham Asylum" on the Play Station 3.

最高なゲームなんですよ。

ところで、さっき、マレーシア・スランゴールでプライベートの日本語のクラスを始まりましたよ。楽しいです。

By the way, I've recently started having private Japanese classes. It's fun.

先生と色々な話をしましたよ。

I've talked about a lot of stuff with the sensei.

でも、僕はもっと本当に日本人と社会的をしたいんです。

But I want to socialize more with the Japanese.

まず、宇多田ヒカルへのメッセージを言いたいです。

First of all, I'd like to say a message to Utada Hikaru.

Dear Hikki, 

If you're reading this blog, I just want you to know that this time you've really got my attention more than any other J-Pop idols I've known in my entire life. Because I never realized that you like to read manga and you enjoy watching anime. Besides that, your song 'Beautiful World' is included in the anime movie 'Evangelion 1.0: You are (Not) alone' and... 'Evangelion 2.0: You can (Not) Advance'. Well... just to let you know, I'm a crazy ass fan of Evangelion because of character designs by my idol manga artist/character designer/illustrator, Sadamoto Yoshiyuki sama. Because of him, I've regained my dreams and ambitions after I've given them up once. And I swear to God that I will never give them up ever again...

And because of your music/songs, I've realized that my strongest way to find inspirations for drawing (to prevent Artist's Blocks) is to get a headset and listen to whatever songs I have on my iPod, close my eyes and draw as I listen. It's just like taking ecstasy or taking drugs... but much better.

Depending on what song I listen to, I can translate them into illustrations.

And about the music video 'Kiss & Cry'... it looks more like the character designs we're done by Otomo Katsuhiro, the guy who did 'Akira'... Sorry if I didn't notice it from the start. But it's better late than never anyway. Besides, I was busy preparing for entering an Academy where I'm studying Illustration course. By the way, for the application, I've dried drawing a picture of you... and I sucked... That's why I can do a Manga Style Caricature (MSC) of you instead. Which can be viewed in my deviantART gallery HERE. To be honest, I wasn't satisfied with the way it turns out. So I've decided to do another one... someday... hopefully...

And I never realized that you like to read (almost) the same manga series as I do which includes Hokuto no Ken, Ranma 1/2, Black Jack, Slam Dunk, Vagabond (truth be told, I haven't read the rest of the volumes yet), etc... At first, I didn't seem to believe in what I've just read about your favorite manga but now... I've choose to believe as I want to believe in myself for my future.

Speaking of future, I hope that one day, I will do a project with you. Maybe do an album cover design for you, do an animated music video with my character designs and illustrations (perhaps with the anime caricature of you in it) and so on. Plus, I want to give song writing a try once again (I've got Aki, my trusty red acoustic guitar and Mayuko, my lovable Macbook Pro).

I also want to do the same thing(s) for other artists and bands one day. Not just for money... but also for passion.

Id like to say, thank you for the inspiration and motivation I might need to move on. And one day, I want to be a professional manga artist, character designer, illustrator and animator in Tokyo... Just like Sadamoto sama. And one day, I'll be praised by many artists and celebrities for what I do. And just like you did both English and Japanese songs in Japan and America, I want to do comics for both Japan and America as well. Because I'm also a fan of Marvel and DC Comics.

昔、一度自分の夢を負けた時、貞本義行様のイラストと漫画を見た後で、再び自分の夢は僕に戻った。

Long ago, when I gave up my dreams once, after looking at the illustrations and comics by Sadamoto Yoshiyuki the Great, my dreams returned to me once again.

あの日から今まで、貞本義行様の事が大好きなんです。

From that day until now, I like Sadamoto Yoshiyuki the Great.

そして、僕はいつか、日本で一人のプロの漫画家とイラストレーターとキャラクターデザイナーになるつもりです。

And I am determine to be a professional manga artist, character designer and character designer in Japan.

いつか、貞本様に会いたいです。

I want to meet Sadamoto The Great one day.

宇多田ヒカル（アメリカでウタダ）はニューヨークに生まれたから、彼女はインターナショナルな歌手なんですね。

Utada Hikaru (Utada in the U.S.A) was born in New York and because of that, she's an international singer.

If it's possible, when I go on a Job date with Utada Hikaru, I'd talk about work with her. For her, I'd do an album cover design, do an animated music video, write songs together in either English or Japanese and on top of that, Utada Hikaru really likes manga and anime.

"Batman Gaiden" is the story of Young Bruce Wayne's adventures after the death of his parents. Before becoming The Dark Knight, from Gotham, he went to places like Bombay, Cairo, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Seri Begawan, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul and many places.

冒険に行きながら、ブルースは色々な事を勉強した。例えば、カンフーや空手や科学や忍術や車のドリフトなど。

During his adventures, Bruce learned many different things like Kung fu, Karate, Science, Ninjutsu, Car drifting, etc.

「仮面探偵バットマン」は未来の新しいバットマンのシリーズです。

“Masked Detective Batman" will be the future new Batman series.

さっき、「バットマン：ジ・アニメーテッド・シリーズ」や「ザ・バットマン」や「バットマン：ブレイヴ・アンド・ボウルド」というバットマンのシリーズがあるんですね。

Recently, there were Batman series like "Batman The Animated Series", "The Batman", "Batman The Brave and the Bold" and others.

そして、僕の「ジャスティス・リーグ・サーガ」という漫画プロジェクトもあります。

And I also have the manga project titled "Justice League Saga".

それに、日本で色々な漫画シリーズを作ったあとで、いつかスタン・リーと一緒に一つの漫画シリーズを作りたいです。

On top of that, after doing many different Manga series in Japan, I want to do a manga series with Stan Lee one day.

彼は今、日本の漫画家、武井宏之と一緒に、「機巧童子ULTIMO」という漫画シリーズを作っていますよ。

He's working on the manga series "ULTIMO" with Japanese mangaka, Takei Hiroyuki right now.

はい。はい。もう休みます。 Yeah. Yeah. Now I'm on a break.

最後の勉強の日に、直接バスにのって、KLセントラルへ行きました。KLセントラルからKLCCまで電車で行きました。銀行のATMでお金の出して、KINOKUNIYAでCARMINE（カーマイン）と言うイラストの本を買ったんです。
On the last day of　the study, I took the bus immsdiately to KL Sentral. From KL Sentral, I took the train to KLCC. Went to the bank to withdraw cash at the ATM and bought the illustration book CARMINE at KINOKUNIYA.

そして、ディスカウントがあったんですね。
And I've got a discount for it.
